TheBrokenSeashell
HAND CRAFTED IN THE USA

Hi there, I'm Michelle, and, well,

I sort of am  The Broken Seashell.

Let me explain...

In 2017, I took off by myself to Costa Rica and crashed at a surf camp.

I spent a life changing week chasing the tides and getting a much deeper understanding of the ocean.

Finally, that last beachy necessity was off my bucket list: catch the waves.

At the end of that year, I severely broke my foot and ankle. It was an amazing struggle navigating life on crutches,

going to physical therapy, and ultimately losing my corporate job downtown.

This is how TheBrokenSeashell came to be.

I was stuck on my butt. I was bored and broken. I had a bunch of seashells in my art studio taking up space.

And I started making necklaces.

At first it was a pain staking process. I didn't have the right tools and was doing everything  by hand.

Then I acquired a drill press. A little hand sander. More supplies for creative designs. I got fast at production.

Finally one day I looked around and said, "What the hell am I supposed to do with all this jewelry?"

I started an Etsy page. I learned a great deal from selling with them.

I also figured out how much they were taking in fees from my tiny new business.

So I set sail once again, and navigated here - my own private dock!

I can't be more pleased to have you floating around my shop and purchasing this beautiful jewelry.

Every single seashell has been individually harvested by hand off the shores of New Jersey.

Please enjoy your trip  "Down the Shore"  with TheBrokenSeashell.

I know you will find something that stirs your soul.

Thanks for sailing by.
